Throwing Knives and Strength Bonus

Hello!

From what I've gathered, throwing knives (Boomerang, Fire-Tooth, etc) are supposed to get Strength bonuses, but in my game they just don't. I think I could just update my game and that would fix itself, but I want to keep playing with the old interface, and I have a bunch of Mods that I would likely have to reinstall, so is there an easy/convenient way to fix this in my game?

Thanks!

Not exactly. Throwing knives are supposed to get a damage bonus only. THAC0 is unaffected.

Well, fair enough, but they aren't getting that

What's your game version? Afaik, strength-based damage bonus has been added in v1.3. It's also possible that one of your mods may have removed this behavior.

I think my version is older (how do I check?), but I'm pretty sure no mods removed it because it was like this even when I used no mods. Do you know of a mod that adds this by any chance?

The version number is either displayed on the first screen when you start the game or on the options screen after loading a savegame.

I'm pretty certain that the strength-based damage feature has been added in v1.3, so it's not possible to enable it in older versions of the game.

Hrm, you're correct, I have 1.2 :( so the only thing I can do is install a newer version?

    That's correct.

I don't think v1.2 already supports the respective flags.

    Edit:
It looks like these flags are already supported in v1.2, but not applied to throwing daggers yet. @pvddr You can manually enable the damage bonus with Near Infinity. Open the item resource, navigate to the "Ranged" item ability structure and activate "EE: Damage strength bonus" in the "Flags" field.
