LoB playthrough party advice

Yo.

Starting a LoB playthrough and wondering about party composition, thought I'd put it to the community for some suggestions.

I have 2 PCs as I started a multiplayer then moved the save file. These are a pure mage as protagonist (never done mage stronghold before) and pure stalker. These 2 have a couple of custom items each, most notably the stalker with a katana that gives +1 apr for his offhand aswell as a small amount of life-stealing on each hit (once per round) and some custom armour with small magical and physical dmg reductions. He will be the tank of the group.
The mage has a robe that increases number of spells memorized and gives 10% magic damage bonus.

I played though bg1 with just these 2 guys and it was actually a blast - I want to continue my tactics where possible of sending the stalker in and then aoe'ing/magic'ing down the mobs.

So I've 4 free slots.
I'm really looking for classes you think would work well in this group. I'll have a full party for bg2 as I like the interactions etc, though I'm planning on eekeepering npc's into the classes and kits I want, if their original classes don't suit.

I know I need some thief skills and cleric skills. A secondary mage would be good also (will need a greater malison battery), and I would like an archer as I've modded my game so that Firkraag drops a nice longbow. I do also like druids and feel their summons might work well with the aoe-based playstyle.

But how to fit these in to 4 party slots? I'd quite like to stick with just the 1 full-time melee, which as mentioned I already have.

If you feel so inclined to suggest npc's aswell (from a personality/interaction standpoint), please feel free. My shortlist atm are Mazzy, Minsc, Jan, Imoen/Yoshimo, Jaheira, Aerie, Valygar, though this changes frequently >.>

Thanks =)

    You do not have to do this any more. When making a single player charicter, there is a Create Party button that let you make more than one character.

    Keldorn gets my vote. Holy Avenger plus turning many of the hardest fights into cakewalks makes him a good choice.

    Many different party builds will work. I went with:

    Skald -> child of Bhaal
    Berserker
    Berserker 13 -> Mage
    Archer
    Sir Anomen
    Jan Jansen

    A few details about that here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/257350/discussions/0/371919771763892146/#c364043054116510091

    The B13->Mage was overhead, but I couldn't resist and wanted to dual-class at level 13 once more.
