Where'd the pc version go?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I bought this off steam a while back and have only really had time to start it up properly today and something seems to have gone wrong with the update. Instead of the PC enhanced version I have some sort of mobile phone cartoon version of the game.
Anyone know what's happened and when the steam update will be fixed?

    What does Steam say? I searched Steam and didn't find anything Baldur's Gate related for phones.

    You have most certainly installed the right version since you can start the game on your system.

    If you're referring to the black sprite outlines or selection highlight effect, you can disable them in Options -> Graphics. Look for the "Sprite Outlines" and "Highlight Selected Sprite" checkboxes. You may also be interested in disabling "Grayscale on Pause" and "Allow Scrolling Out Of Bounds" if you want to reproduce the pre-2.0 behavior of the game.

    Thanks, disabled the new stuff and the game is playable.

    That dreadful highlighting was most definitely a shock.

    I like the greyscaIe on pause but glad I can disable the rest

    I don't like the gray scale on pause, it prevents nice looking screenshots, everything looks lifeless and barren. And also time stop spell feels less special and unique.
    Thankfully, radical stuff like these are optional.
