High Level Ability Documentation

Where are high level abilities documented? Specifically I wanted to know when HLA's are granted. I've seen somewhere that they start at 3M experience.

Many of the HLA's are documented here: http://baldursgate.wikia.com

And on other sites. But shouldn't this be in the BG2EE manual?

The Adventurer's Guide has the HLA's. 3m, or the next level after reaching 3m actually. https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/49871/get-your-siege-of-dragonspear-manuals-here/p1

Okay, one more stupid question. Where is the experience cap for BGEE/SOD/BG2EE(SoA,ToB) documented?

    Thanks! -Fred

I thought it was also there, but it is 161k for BG, 500k for SoD, and 8mil for BG2. I will look for the doc when I get home.

Ah, thank you! Yes, I confirmed this in Nearinfinity looking at XPCAP.2DA for BG2EE. So it's not capped at 3M for SoA then.

Pure vanilla SoA without ToB installed used to have 2.95 m xp cap. Thus classes never reached hla territory, and mages could not cast 9th vll spells. (Needed 3 m xp for both) ToB expansion increased the xp cap to 8 mil and brought the hlas.

Bg2 enhanced edition has tob by default, so xp cap is 8 mil. You can reach 3 m xp and hlas in SoA.
