Missing Portraits?

I finally started playing baldurs gate 2 again and when I went to create a character I noticed some of the portraits were missing, specifically the really hot brown haired guy with his fists up. Does anyone know why this portait may be missing?

I feel like maybe I purchased some kind of portrait pack addon when i purchased the game a year ago but there doesnt seem to be the option of downloading any kind of addon to my game on beamdog or in game

Also while were on the subject of portraits does anyone know how to put in custom portraits. It says to just plop a picture in the data folder but that doesnt work :3

You need to create a "portraits" subfolder in the data, and put your portraits in there.
They have to be in BMP format and less than 1024 pixel in either dimension.

So I just make a folder and title it "portraits" and the game will recognize it even if theirs only one pic in it? also how do i change an image to BMP?

For a JPEG file, open the file and save as another file type, i.e. BMP.

Yes it will. Made a small mistake though: the folder where you have to create the subfolder is called "files". That's where saves are stocked as well.

Looking through the Baldur's Gate folder and I'm not finding a folder titled "Files".

It Goes "BG2", "Data", "00783", then there are there choices is the 00783 folder.

    "Data"
    "Lang"
    "Manuals"
    "Movies"
    "Music"
    "Override"
    "Scripts"

I guess the exact path might vary depending on what device you use, but the place where you must create the "portraits" folder definitely is the folder where your save folders are.
