Opening BGT Save in BG2EE

I have an old BGT install saved on an external drive. I can no longer open it as Apple killed off X11 and now my wineskin install has gone haywire. However, I have several saved games/characters and figured, "What the heck. What if I just copy the folder over and delete the extra stuff not in the BG2EE saves?"

And it seemed to work without crashing. Cool. I have a couple of characters I played through the end of BG1 and I din't want to have to do a complete run through with them again.
