BG2EE crashing on startup on Android

I have a Galaxy S4 5.0.2 and an Nvidia Shield Tablet on 5.0 and neither can run BG2EE without crashing on startup. The first time I run it after installing it the "Looking for Resources" screen apears for a few moments before crashing. Is there some fix or am I just missing something?
Both can still run IWDEE and used to be able to run BG2EE.

EDIT: Deleting the cache and data lets me see the "Resources" screen again, but even if I delete the .obb files the "Resources" screen does not change.
