Is the Canon Party always the same?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I was curious, is the party always the same or is it based on alignment.

Because both times I started with SOD (the first time I went back and did BG first) I played CN and started with: Jaheria, Khalid, Dorn, Neera and Safana

    If you transfer from BG, your whole party comes with. If you start fresh in SOD, its based on your alignment.

    For your information, I start with Jaheira, Khalid, Dynaheir, Minsc and Safana and I was LB (Female Paladin). (Transfer from BG) but even without transfer the party was the same.

    So are there three default parties for the start if we don't import our BG1 team? Good, Neutral, and Evil?

    It sounds like it's Jaheira, Khalid, Minsc, Dynaheir, Safana for Good

    Neera, Dorn, Safana, Jaheira, Khalid for Neutral

    ??? Viconia, Dorn, Edwin, Safana and one other person for Evil

    Thanks. Makes sense. I was assuming since he was kind of an easter egg in BG1 he wasn't part of the default.

    I almost feel sad for Rasaad being the only EE NPC not used as a default. Meanwhile Safana gets an upgrade and is in every party!

    I agree, the only boring alignments are Lawful Neutral and True Neutral.
