I'm seeking clarification regarding the protection of critical hit equipped ability of a helmet

Does a helmet nullify the critical hit effect (341) op code? or does it simply prevent double damage?

    Without testing I'm almost certain that the helmet protects against any critical hit effect. But yeah, it'd be necessary to test to be sure
