Impressions of New Players, Introduced to BG via the enhanced editions

I was wondering how many people there are who never played the original games when they came out, and only played the enhanced editions.
I was wondering what your impressions of an updated 20-ish year old game were like?

    A related poll would be great. To have an idea of the percentage of the players who started with EE among the active users of the board. For the impressions this topic is great.
