(Spoilers) Dragonspear Castle Exterior

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I know there's quests in there, but there's a magic field up over the gate and the Crusader guard won't let me in even with my pass medallion. I saved Skie, and it says to go back to camp to tell them, but since I already had the Dead Man's pass parlay with Caelar, does that mean going there will trigger the attack by the Crusade?
