Unable to purchase only the Siege of Dragonspear Expansion

Hi,
I have the BG1 enhanced edition (bought in in mac app store).
When I want to purchase the expansion it won't let me buy it without having the expansion from one of the websites (such as beamdog or steam)

Please help!

    The Siege of Dragonspear expansion requires that you own the base game from the same store where you're buying the expansion; so on Beamdog.com you'll need to own the base game on Beamdog; for Steam and GOG it's the same way.

    If you bought the game through the Mac App Store you'll need to wait for the expansion to be released there.

    This just irks the heck out of me. I've been waiting since spring and nothing but radio silence regarding this issue. I get that Apple's rules for getting stuff on the app store suck, but it has been six months.
