    In Candlekeep.

Just enter the Inn that is as clean as an elven arse, and talk to the owner.

I cannot return, because I need to donate a book. :( What book can I give them?

Keep playing the game. You won't receive this book until very late in the game.

You can purchase this sword from the blacksmith in Beregost and, IIRC, from the bartender in Friendly Arm Inn.

    Good luck, mate! :)

I was already in Beregost and the smith did not offer any two handed sword? Do they have a certain name?

Damn, I forgot all my knowledge which I had 20 years ago, but it's very refreshing playing BG again. It makes me feel younger!

Some store will have it. If not in Beregost, Nashkel. :)

Buy 2 of them :). You'll probably need a spare because metal items break - due to the storyline.

Good luck finding the +1 2-handed sword next :).
  • You can also get Spider's Bane, a +2 two-hander, in the Cloakwood areas, but that's a little later in the game.

There is a +3 one you can get much easier. It does have a bit of an issue though.

Just a small issue. Fine if you have zero consideration for the sanctity of life.

Bassilus' skeletons drop a ton of two-handers and heavy crossbows, if memory serves right. He's in the area south of Thalantyr's shop.

I think Zilber was talking about
World's Edge, the one dropped by the King in Durlag's Tower.

Although to be honest I find Durlag's tower most rewarding and fun when you are at ~7. I like to do it before the Cloakwood...

There is nothing easy about getting that weapon, I'm pretty sure the comment was referring to another weapon which actually has some issues.

Yay! I found one which is +1. *drooling on the keyboard*

I remember the first time I ever found that sword 16 years ago, I loved making fighters that used two handed swords, so when I finally found one that wouldn't break, I was in paradise,

    I know your feeling :)

Correct, the end of Durlag's Tower is not something I consider early. Brage is, and that one does have an issue.

Killing Dorn in the Friendly Arm Inn gets you an early +1 sword if you're not good.
