enabling Quick slots in IWDE

How co I use the Quick Slots? I have read reread and take notes from the manual and gone to the options page and to the game paged to set up quick slots where I would be able, for example, to toss a fiery pot or use a missle wand. I have yet to be able t o use the Quick Slots for spells or attacks.The item just sits in the slot.

I'm not sure if I understand your problem correctly, but you can use items in a character's quickslots by first clicking on the quickslot with the item and then on a valid target.
For example, to use a fiery pot, first left-click on it, then click on the ground where you want your character to throw it.

To use a "heal light wounds" scroll, first click on the scroll in the quickslot, then on the character that you want your priest to cast the spell o.

To use a healing potion, simply click on the potion in the quickslot.

I think you get the idea. Does that help?
