How to change the language?

When I first installed this game, I used to play it in English, and it was ok.
Then... after a certain update... the game automatically decided I had to play it in Italian (both BG:EE and BG2:EE).
Given how the translations weren't always perfect, this was already annoying on its own.
Now I've finally decided to try some neat NPC mod, and I found out that, since I installed those in English, the game for some reason can't read the dialogue of the NPC (the dialogue comes up as "Invalid:012345" - Possible answers: "Invalid:012222", "Invalid:017890", etc.). I've been told that's because it's trying to read dialogue for a different language from the one set.

My question is: how do I reset the default language to English, so I can enjoy better the game AND have my mods work properly?

There's a 'Language' selection in the Options menu. I believe choosing your desired language and restarting the game is all you need to do.

Oh, I feel so dumb now.
I kept looking in the Options menu inside the game, but there was actually one OUTSIDE the game, before selectin SoA or ToB.
Cool, thanks. The mod is working properly now, too.
