Can I romance Dorn? I can make some allusions, but in the end he just reacts "shy".

    Yes, but it won't really develop into a full relationship until BG2.

    AH, okay, then I'll finish SOD and play again BG2.

    What's the benefit of a romance in BG2?

    More character background and development for a character you like. Though Jaheaira does get good magic item, I don't know if any other npcs do.

    All of the EE characters do as well, iirc.

    With Neera, you get a

    mechanical bird, which you can eventually exchange for a lot of money (that you have no use for) or a lot of experience points (that you don't need). But it's a nice bird.

    you get that bird even if you don't romace her.
