BG crash. need help

in Troubleshooting
the game crashes when i try to change zones.

os: windows 10
game isnt the enhanced version.

    Oh man good luck. I once spent 2 months trying to get BG to run on Vista. It may be doable, but probably not easy. My first recommendation would be to make sure it is NOT installed under program files. Compatibility mode MAY help. Good luck.

    its installed on its on ssd lol.
    ive tried comp mode. :(

    Soory, not sure what else you can try. Which version is it? Did it come off the old discs?

    yea. old discs and a couple patches i found online. used them in hopes they helpd

    You could try using BG TUTU which will run the game in baldurs gate 2's engine which is somewhat happier with new operating systems. The original game is probably hopeless in win 10. Of course there is also BG:EE lol.

    Yeah...just do yourself a favor and spend the $20 for the EE version already. Ooof.

    from posts ive seen in the last few days. its an issue on EE version aswell.
