What chokepoints should I be on the lookout for while playing solo half-orc fighter?
(just through BG1, because I know I won't get through BG2 like this)
STR 19 CON 19 DEX 18 CHA 18 WIS 10 INT 9
Two-Handed Swords +++
Two-Handed Weapons ++
I've already hit level 3, got the Ankheg Plate, the Infravision Helmet, and the Sword Of Kill Everyone.

Prepare for a lot of running, especially if you don't have ranged. get the girdle against piercing before entering the Nashkel mines.
The chokepoints are doorways when in buildings, narrowings in mines and hedges or shrubs coming closer together. Good luck!
In game some mages that like to charm people, or crazed Priests/Ghasts with hold person. Groups of Ghasts, for example in Candlekeep Catacombs, unexpected Basilisks (Candlekeep Catacombs) and generally certain mages that like to spam Confusion/Fear.
Sirens. Unless you are a Berserker, whereas the rage takes care of everything.
Don't go to Durlag's Tower without a Thief and a cleric...don't go to Durlag's Tower.
The last and almostlast fights can be a bit difficult, bring defense(potions) against Magic.
Boot of Avoidance would be a wise choice. As it is Cloak of Displacement.
Carry some darts (daggers if you go Berserk) for spell disrupt. Use Boot of Speed against spellcasters.
And loads of Potion of Absorption for traps. The Horn of Kazgaroth can be useful too.

About the original question: there are a lot of outdoors battles, so no chokepoint for you, sir.
