Will importing/exporting characters still possible?

In the original game after you played through (or at any point in the game really) you could export your character with all the gear on their person and all the experience gained and start a new game with them.

Still be possible?

    Yes.
    It's safe to assume that any feature that was present in the original will still be present in the enhanced edition unless explicitly stated otherwise

    Yes, the ability to import/export characters has been retained. There is absolutely no reason for them to eliminate this feature.

    However, with the improved engine of BG: EE it's extremely likely that characters from BG and BG2 will not be compatible with the new enhancements. Perhaps a utility to convert characters to the altered engine will be provided post-ship. Rest assured, your character will persist through BG: EE and BG2: EE.

    Good, that's what I was hoping for. Plus I like going through the game a bunch of times.
