Wraith Spider in Elfsong Tavern

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I tried to rest in the Elfsong Tavern in Baldurs Gate Southeast and it at first said "Can not rest at this time", following this I tried again in a peasant bed and it triggered, but after the fade to black screen a Wraith Spider spawned infront of the innkeep. Is this supposed to happen? I just got out of the sewers so it could just be a delayed area transition but I never had this happen before in any inn.

    There's a component in the BG1 Miniquests and Encounters mod that involves a wraith spider egg. Maybe you took too long and let it hatch? You're supposed to take it to Sorcerer Sundries.

    I have that mod but the eggs still in my inventory. It states "There's something moving inside". Could be a different egg but I'm unsure. It's not an issue anyway just an observation.
