Can the exceptional strength value be displayed already if strength<18?

Hi, I'm using some kind of auto roller, can I display the exceptional strength value already if I have a distribution with strength < 18? Does the value already exist at that stage?

    In the game (and in PnP) you make a separate roll for exceptional strength after you make natural roll of 18 Str. The game figures this out for you and automatically adds and displays an except. str. roll if it (the game roller) rolls a natural 18.
    If after the initial roll you (the player) manually change the stats to boost the Str. to 18 then the game will make another roll to determine the except. str. and display it accordingly.

    As I don't use an auto roller I'm not sure if this answers the first part of your question but I hope it clarifies the second.
