Possible to remove the border around the message box in BG2EE?

Hi all, when using the option to "Scale User Interface", everything seems to be quite visually appealing, except for how thick the border is around the message box in BG2EE. Does anybody know a way to make it less thick, or perhaps remove it altogether, or make it transparent?

So far as I'm aware, no, I don't think the border is configurable.

Again, however, it's possible there's some non-default setting which you could manually add to baldur.lua, I'm not sure.

I think those are picture elements, they should be editable through the ui.menu but I don't know where exactly. FYI, I just added the file "box5.PVRZ" from Lefreut's mod to my override folder and it worked like a charm :-)
