Cannot enter Cloakwood Mines

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Every time I try to enter the last Cloakwood area (Just to the west of the mines) the game ceases to work. I had trouble entering the other areas also, but I could work around this by entering from different angles. This one, however, always blows the program every time, no matter where I try to enter it from. As a result, I cannot see the Mines on the overmap, and cannot go there.

I tried verifying game cache, and making new back up files. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

    make a back up copy of your save file and then uninstall your game completely deleting everything ( except for your save files) and then try a completely new install, it kind of sucks doing that, but sometimes it helps solve the problem
