Has anybody readed the novels? What do you think about it?

    I've been told that Minsc has hair in the novels. That's enough for me.

    I also heard CHARNAME in the novels sucks. That keeps me from even thinking of going to that well, as we all know CHARNAME rocks and rolls!

    I've read all three of them. They were pretty meh. I didn't identify with Abdel at all.

    *Spoiler*

    And he romanced Jaheira, that ruined it for me.

    That's actually one good thing about it.

    One might say that BioWare learned their lesson from the BG novels at least, in terms of how poorly it works to try to nail down a character whose race, class, sex and general outlook gets to be decided by the player. When the time came for Mass Effect to follow suit, Commander Shepard was never directly featured or described.

    Well, when you depict her like that...

    @Shin

    I'm not entirely sure if Bioware was responsible for the novels. Might have just been WotC that wanted to capitalize with the success of the games.
