When uninstalling a mod component messes the game.

Hello

I gues this is a topic with a silly question, but i really need a fast confirmation of this.
Recently i tried to uninstall a g3 tweak pack component and something wierd happened in the weidu setup messing it up.
Of course i've made a backup folder with the whole game.

My question now is: should i UNISTALL the game and then copy the backup into the directory where it was, or should i DELETE MANUALY the orginal folder with the game and then copy the backup into the directory where it was?

Again sorry for the silly topic...

Deleting the game folder manually and restoring the backup afterwards should be fine. The installer does pretty much the same, but also takes care of menu shortcuts and other stuff that doesn't really matter for a procedure like this.

When the game is installing, are there any registry entries?
Does uninstalling (not deleting) removes any registry entries?
That's mostly what i wonder about. I want the game to run like it was before, so i dont want to screw it.

Afaik, the game does not depend on registry or any other hidden configuration details. And since it isn't restricted by DRM mechanisms you can even clone it to various places and mod each one of them differently. They will all run perfectly fine.

The installer is only useful if you want to remove any traces of the game from your system.
