Dual-wield weapon choices

Just wondering - for me and maybe others - what weapon combos are the best, as all the info is so clustered in here...
I usually go for Belm/Kundane or Crom Faeyr in the off-hand, but I realised that, while +apr is nice to have, 1 attack will be with my off-hand weapon anyway, which, with only +2 enchantment, will never hurt anything in TOB, pretty much making one of my attacks being wasted...
So wouldn't it make more sense (as far as dual wielding even makes sense at all) to use 2 damage-dealer-weapons like Crom and Foebane/Flail of Ages?

Personally, I prefer longswords and daggers.
-Firetooth+3 (the throwing dagger set to melee, main hand), Belm (or the Ninja-To of the Scarlet Brotherhood+3 after you get UAI) on offhand. This way you get 4 apr unbuffed. In BG1 you can dual wield Drizzt's or two Rashaad's Talons.
For Swashbucklers (before patch 2.3/vanilla BG2):
-Long Swords/Scimitars/Katanas and Belm/Ninja-To of the Scarlet Brotherhood+3
For Fighters (to use with GWW):
-FoA+5/Crom Faeyr
-Foebane/Crom Faeyr
For Fighters (with natural 24 STR, to use with GWW):
-Foebane/FoA+5 (I think this one's better than FoA+5/Foebane, but that's debatable, also depends on the situation... Consider both)
For Paladins (to use with GWW):
-Foebane/Purifier (w/STR belt), this one's also nice on F/Ts.
-Purifier/Crom Faeyr
For Barbarians and Evil Dwarven Defenders w/23 STR (to use with GWW):
-FoA+5/Defender of Easthaven
-Foebane/DoE
-Foebane/FoA+5 (although you loose a lot of DR from the DoE)
For Dwarven Defenders (to use with GWW):
-FoA+5/Crom Faeyr
-Crom Faeyr/DoE
For Fighters (to use with IH):
-Crom Faeyr/Belm
For Evil Fighters w/23 STR (to use with IH):
-Foebane/Belm
For Monks (after patch 1.3):
-Fists/Ninja-To of the Scarlet Brotherhood+3
* Fighter/Thieves with UAI should change Belm for the Ninja-To of the Scarlet Brotherhood+3
* If you like Axes, you can go for the Axe of the Undying instead of Foebane, although it doesn't provide you with temporary extra hit points.
* Note that this are the most optimal non-specific dual-wielding options only, considering both STR and ApR
