Cursed Enchanted Seed?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
So I follow the evil route to prevent further reputation increase, the once green enchanted seed becomes a purple cursed enchanted seed, I notice it now can be equipped on quiver slot, but it's cursed and can't be removed, or fired, anybody knows what the item does?

    Great battle design with the two druids by the way, the dire charming user and stone snakes make the battle really nasty on lob setting, took me a while to manage that, far more difficut than with the dark druid :=D
