Kresslacks Tomb

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
I'm in kresslaks tomb 2nd level, where at the door to the 3d level. I can't target the locked door with any of my six characters to progress to the 3d level. Is this a bug?

    There's a lever on a column. You need to have the Black Wolf talisman to pull it.

    Interestingly enough: I had this same exact problem back in 2000 when the game first came out, exacerbate by the fact that back then you couldn't just hit the Tab key to highlight the lever. I assumed I'd screwed something up, restarted the entire game, only to get stuck there a second time. Then I spent another couple hours running around in circles on that damn level trying to figure out what to do before I broke down and joined my first ever internet message board in search of the answer.

    That "puzzle" holds a special place in my heart. But yeah, it's really terrible game design.
