Game will not end after final battle. (Spoilers)

I would be able to say that I finally beat Baldur's Gate for the first time since getting the original release in the 90s, if it weren't for the strange fact that the ending sequence does not want to trigger after defeating Sarevok. He dies, and the fight continues. I then kill his minions, and I remain stuck in the final room. Nothing happens. At this point I would be content in just watching the ending on Youtube or something, but I do want to get a Final Save which I can continue on with in BG2:EE.

Is there any way to fix this? Are there any console commands that I can input to make the game think Sarevok is dead and trigger the ending? Is there any way to just forcibly create a Final Save? Would reinstalling the game from Steam and dropping my save files in help?

The only mods I have ever installed are:
- The BG1 NPC Project: NPCs can be sent to wait in an inn: v22.7
- The BG1 NPC Project: Bardic Reputation Adjustment: v22.7

I should also mention that I started my file some time in 2015 and played it on-and-off, so it has survived quite a number of version updates. I've encountered no errors or any other oddities except for this.

Edit: Also forgot to mention that Siege of Dragonspear is not installed.

I've never heard of this happening before. I have the mods you mention as well, and have never experienced this issue.

My best bet is that somewhere along the way, the save file got a little wonky through all the updates it went through. 2015-2017 saw some big changes with the EE games.

Unfortunately I don't know of any quick fix to see the ending cutscene. However, if you kill Sarevok and his pals and then save the game, I imagine you'd still be able to transfer that file over to SoD/BG2.

I'd recommend reporting this as a bug, if no one else can figure out what's wrong. It might not be a bug many people end up encountering, but still a bug nonetheless.

I don't think it will matter too much for BG2.
Just make a save and then transfer that to BG2, except for charname, nothing else transfers.
(I always have to do that anyway, regardless of having a "final save")

Thanks guys! I had no idea that BG2 would accept other save files as well, and I completely overlooked the character export feature. I just gave both methods a quick test and they seem to carry over everything that should be carried over, so I guess I'll just proceed like this.
