Set Trap skill

I was wondering what the Set Trap skill actually does? I have set traps with a skill of 30, so wanted to know what impact the skill has?

    % chance to successfully set a trap. At 100 you should never fail unless you are wearing gear reducing the skill.

    Yeah, trap effectiveness is not modified, just the chance to lay it and you can save and reload if you want to avoid that. It is worth noting that when you fail there is a chance you flop so badly that you set the trap off on yourself >:)
