Does anyone know what the "Game Options" "Show Message Box Hint" Baldur.lua entry does?
Thanks for any info.

    I would speculate this is a leftover .INI option from BG2, which made the hints from the loading screens show up in the message box upon loading a game or area.

    It would be great if those hints still could be loaded even if there aren't any loading screens anymore. I would port them over to the start screen.

    Thanks - that sounds like a reasonable conclusion. As for the hints - it's possible they're still in dialog.tlk.
