Difficulty based XP bonus

I checked recently Baldur.ini file and i found interesting thing:
SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','No Difficulty Based XP Bonus','1')
SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','Nightmare Bonus XP','0')

also
SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','Nightmare Bonus Gold','0') but it's not interesting for me becouse I always have imposible amount of money to spend.

Did you actualy know about it? What are excatly the bonuses? I like the idea, its like HoW mode in IWD.

    Those are from way before LOB was released. In those days it was called Nightmare Mode and was still in beta mode. Extra XP is ridicolous because you will get like 1000xp for rat in candlekeep. Basically speeds up the strength curve with for early SOA and early BGEE simplyfies the game to the point it nuffilies LOB pretty much.
