World Map from old save with wrong positions

Hello!
I found this thread on the steam forums which let me use saves from the old version of Baldur's Gate, and it worked: http://steamcommunity.com/app/228280/discussions/0/828937545776580852/#c864973032760445494
Only problem now is that I noticed that map positions are all wrong. On the world map, every area icon is in the wrong place. I'm guessing the positions are kept from the old lower-res version of the game, and that's why it doesn't match the new version.
Is there some way to fix this? Maybe resetting the world map somehow, or by using a mod?
