Cannot place traps in BGIEE

I noticed this problem on my play through as solo fighter/thief. Basically I put some points in set traps (because I wanted to set traps) and every time I tried to set a trap, in the dialogue box it just says: snare set:charname, and nothing about success/failure and no trap appears on the map. Its very weird, I used BWS to install some mods (no npc or additional content, just ai improvements and scs, also rogue re-balancing) and I loaded up a SoA game and it works fine in there, I am using EET.
