Hacking Files from BG:EE

This has probably been answered in another thread somewhere (sorry), but do we think that the PC version of BG:EE will save games in the same format as the game does today, and if so, will Gatekeeper or other tools that are used today be compatible to hack game files or will something new have to be used?

    The general estimate is that the file format will be the same but the content will be somewhat altered due to the code changes. This means that editing tools won't need to be rebuilt from scratch, but will likely require some updating to be fully compatible.
