Need help with changing Fade v4.0 sound set

I'm enjoying the mod a lot but her sound set irks me a little. It's considerably louder than vanilla npc's voice types and some of her lines are distracting me with their length. Not a big issue but I've been trying to replace her voice with the Female 2 sound set.
I first copied the .wav files and renamed them to match the ones Fade has and placed them into the override folder, which works just fine but she still retains her original voice in addition to my override. I then proceeded to delete all sound related files from the mod folder (the .ogg's and the couple of sound/voice related files), but it doesn't affect anything. She still says both my override and her original lines. I also tried replacing the .ogg's with my copied .wav's but that doesn't do anything.
I've been googling for tips for a couple of days now but I haven't found anything. Does anyone have an idea that could solve my issue?
