Guide to Installing Mods on Mac Steam Version?

It it isn't already on another thread, is there an easy way to install mods for the Mac Version of Baldur's Gate 1 EE and Baldur's Gate 2 EE? This is for the Steam version of the game, and I have purchased Siege of Dragonspear. I used to play Baldur's Gate 2 on my Mac Appstore version, by the lack of updates to that platform led me to purchase the game during a steam sale.

    I've followed the stops on the old tutorials, but I the program is still telling me permissions are denied.
