[OT] Best video editing program?

I know it seems as a total Offtopic, but it is kind of connected to BG:EE.
I'm planning to make cool video (can't tell any details), but I need to know if you guys know any program good for making videos. Nothing fancy. I just need separate split screens shown at the same time (One main, whole screen and few small ones) plus some title screen and simple video editing stuff.
