ToB: Is Dorn any less Evil?

Hi all,

So when I first played BG:EE, my character had romanced Dorn, but when we met in BG2:EE he was suddenly like inifitely more comic-book-villain-evil, and my chaotic good protagonist couldn't deal with that so I didn't take him. But the Spirit thingy in ToB can summon him, and I'm considering....I wouldn't have to do his whole murderfest recruitment quest, but...is he any less ridiculous evil in ToB compared to SoA?

Another thread compared SoA Dorn to "Satan wearing a fedora". Is that still accurate in ToB?

To be clear, I'd like to avoid ToB spoilers please. I will trust people who have played it to just say yes/no with vague explanations but please don't give specifics about the plot one way or the other.

He, and you by association, do some pretty bad things if he's in your party in ToB.

Alas. I thought so, but I thought perhaps their romance could be saved~
