    I tried the Creator Update(1709) about two weeks ago and it caused my games to freeze and crash(including BG). It also broke my settings and would reset things to default each time I rebooted. Rolling back to 1703 fixed it.

    I wish I had googled it before installing it.

    @TheGraveDigger the only issue i have experienced was that avast free antivirus was making taskbar not responding

    Also you can download Acronis True Image trialware and then make a bootable cd image so you can backup and restore at will

    you can download group policy editor from here
    unzip the file and run Install Group Policy Editor.bat
    Group Policy Editor allows you to disable services that you couldn't otherwise such as System Restore or Windows Defender

    To run Group Policy Editor press Win + R then type gpedit.msc and hit enter
