Database Support - linux server?

Greetings all!

So very excited to hear about this. I used to run a NWN persistent world and this has my old group of players very excited at the proposition of running the world again.

One of the key features needed is the support of an external database. NWN eventually added in its own marginally useful database, but the key was to use NWNx2 and an ODBC database.

The interface was a clunky memory hack. I'd love to see native database support, especially for modern databases like mongo. Any chance of this happening, and early?

If not, is anyone looking at NWNx2 to see if we can still hack in database support?

    I don't think it will come in the base game, but NWNX will ship with SQL support.

    I posted prematurely. Some additional digging watching the twitch videos has filled me in. I can't wait to get a server together!
