Upload Bandwidth Required Running a Server?

Does anybody remember the formula used to know how much bandwidth you need to run a server, as in they was a calculation of so much speed times the number of players, so you would know where to put player maximum at or at X upload speed you could host Y number of players ? Also will this be any different with EE? What I remember, NWN was the best at maximizing the efficiency of bandwidth and with 15 years down the road, upload speeds have been improved greatly.

    It's basically (2kbxnumber of players) squared. Though it's cubed if the players are all on the same map. Worst case scenario with 64 players all on a single map is 211 megabytes/s.

    Average usage will probably be about 1 to 10 megabytes per second for most.
