Realms of Annakolia

The persistent world, Realms of Annakolia lives!

We are using Beamdog's NWN:EE beta. The server requires RoA haks and CEP 2.4

    So much has been done to fix and expand Annakolia in the last week - seems we are busy getting ready for some action and DMed events. The entry area has now been given a seasonal Yule face lift (using the Stage Manager System _SMS_ so players are greeted with seasonal ambiance.

    All the work going into Realms of Annakolia is not visible - Malishara has done scripting systems updates for the first time in 5 years - giving us more power to do many things.

    When we are done with one update we start another - there is always much to do and improve in such a huge world with over 2000 areas.

    I will remind you all to get the CEP and Realms of Annakolia haks, music and portraits installed - then come visit us.

    Version 2.4 of the CEP is the ONLY known version that works on Annakolia - the updated versions, thought to be backward compatible, have known incompatibilities and could cause a player difficulty (unknown/unproven at this time). These are being worked on to be fixed, I am told.

    If you are on Steam - join the Realms of Annakolia Group - find DMs, players and get help. Help is very important if running into log on issues.

    If I have the cep22_anna6.tlk file in my TLK folder, and the server complains that I can not log in because it can not find the file, what fix do I use to bypass this issue?

    The thought occurred to me - where are you putting your files? You need to install them in the Neverwinter Nights directory in your Documents folder. If you used the Beamdog library location it will not work.

    Latest Beamdog update is broken - here is the fix:

    the Beamdog client should take care of that automatically during update
    Switched from NWN Head Start to NWN then I was prompted to install OpenAL. I installed it, switched back to NWN Head Start and I am in.
    there's the issue
    they overlooked Head Start
    that is not working for me tho. manual install time :/
    manually installing OpenAL from that link works

    Players reporting Beamdog has fixed the update issue now. You should not have to download that file and install it separate from the NWN EE beta install.

    New problem - DM restricted by level from doing spells _ DM should have full spell access at any level - that was the way it was so something has changed in the NWN EE

    There is urgent need for experts in reconnoitering and survival. Specialists in the martial arts, in the arcane, and in matters of faith are sought. The team’s task will be to investigate a vicious attack in Hidden Woods, lend aide to any survivors, and if possible, prevent future associated attacks on other settlements. Qualified persons should report to The School for Adventurers for consideration.

    Six experts in their fields (Level 25-40).

    Players without a character of appropriate level will be offered the opportunity to create a new character to be leveled and equipped by a DM.

    • Brief character background
    The session will run three hours.
