Hak/module/tlk/etc file locations

So, a dilemma. I use 2 hard drives. One is a smaller ssd for the OS, the other is a sata I use for most other things. I installed nwn on the sata drive, but it places things like the hak/module/tlk folder on the ssd with the os. This is problematic because of necessary custom content bloat; my hak file alone is 30 gb in size.

Is there a way to store these files on the sata and point nwn to them?

You can change those locations in your nwn.ini file (at least I'm assuming you can on every OS, but it works in Windows). There is an [Alias] section that allows you to change the locations of those folders. Just change the path for each one you want to move, and remember to move the folder too (or make a new one there).

The nwn.ini should be in the Neverwinter Nights folder, where those other ones you want to move are located (depends on your OS).

This user folder can be found in:
    [My Documents]\Neverwinter Nights (Windows)
    ~/Documents/Neverwinter Nights (macOS)
    ~/.local/share/Neverwinter Nights (Linux)

If you know how to link a folder, then that works too, but there are different ways for that in each OS as well. The .ini changes should get the results you want.

Thanks! This should be helpful. Custom content folders can grow to ponderous sizes.
