A brief question about head start and steam

I remember seeing a message prior to purchasing the game saying that if we purchased through Beamdog we could email support to get the game on steam. Was the intention that we do that after the games release or is there some kind of closed early access on steam we can sign up for? Regardless, is there some kind of time window we have to email support in? I’ve got the game through the Beamdog client, I’d just rather have it on steam, (not that there’s anything wrong with the beamdog client ;) )

Admittedly, this is all stuff I could have said in an email to support, but I thought this post might help clarify the situation for the next confused person.

    It's not available on Steam yet.

    I actually sent an email to Beamdog support about this before I purchased the game, and I got a reply telling me that they will provide official information about how to get our Steam key at a later date, closer to the official release.
