Problem creating new multiplayer game

I am currently playing BGTutu (BG:EE doesn't seem to want to work on my computer). I have recently learned about creating multiple characters in multiplayer and then moving the saved game to the single player game. First time I did this it worked fine, however I am trying to create a new group in multiplayer and every time I create the character and go to start the game it keeps loading my old characters and not my new ones. I have tried modifying the characters in game after I start it but that doesn't work either.

I would really appreciate any insight into how I can fix this.
