Safest way to change your character's avatar in the 2.5 beta patch?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi all

I try to avoid using EE Keeper (the app itself is great and I have nothing against it) as it has the potential to seduce one in to creating godlike characters which takes all the fun out of the game in my opinion.

However, I would really like to be able to change the look of my fighter / thief from the fighter avatar to the thief avatar.

Is there a way to do this without using EE Keeper?

    Just because you can doesn’t mean you have to...

    Cheat Console method: C:Eval(‘Polymorph(THIEF_MALE_HUMAN)’) with the cursor on your character.

    Corrected my post - I got it the other way round and thought you wanted a fighter avatar. Race is interchangeable by the way.
