ABC Music System for NWN EE

On some MMOs (LOTRO for instance) players can play ABC music files with instruments such as lute, harp, horn, bagpipe and such -- It would add a lot of Role Play to PWs to have such a system.

The ability for players in a party to play instrument parts.

A multiple MIDI/ABC instrument types and sounds to go with the playing of the files.

This is something that would greatly enhance RP in PWs - SO - I am suggesting it be considered.

A method to list the player side ABC collection
A method of selecting and playing solo or in groups from the selection

There are some instruments in game but many are in the community content as well. Some do not exist that are needed - SO - some instruments with playing animations would be required.

I think this could be doable already. To have a sound of each note and then use OnChat event to read player's /perform aabbcc command into the sequence of the sounds

It's doable but it isn't "nice" and for that you would really want a customizable GUI with customizable input options. You would also want sounds to interact correctly such as notes on a 16th of a beat. There is a custom content music system for NWN2 someone made but there are various issues with it which limits the music it can create.
