How common is Full Plate Armor in Siege of Dragonspear?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Full Plate Armor is rare in BG1 and easily obtained in BG2 -- what about Siege of Dragonspear? I have some Full Plate Armor left over from BG1 and am wondering if I should hang on to it for when I run into NPC's that can use it.

    I would say hanging on to just about everything you can is worthwhile in SOD - worst case you can always sell it if you find you won't use it.

    Before going into SoD, hoard all the valuable gems you can.

    About the full plates, I don't really know, but I usually keep any Full Plate I find.
