Legacy Receipt problem (Spoilers)

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
I've been running around in circles and no amount of research has an answer. All instructions options on many sites that I've followed do not match my game. Is there an inherent bug with not receiving the receipt? and how (without killing the Clerk) do I get it?

Dodecahedron opened and read.
Bloody handkerchief done.
Have full access to Foundry.
Have option to talk to Inannis about legacies, no claim number 51AA option, only standard 'claim legacy' option.

    Go to Finam's house in the Clerk's Ward and ask about his dead father.
    Use Stories-Bones-Tell ability on his father's ashes, ask him about the journal and its language.
    Afterwards, reread the Dodecahedron about your legacy, which gives you the code 51AA

    Yeah I've done that, I learned the Uyo language and read the legacy option in the Doc', but no option at Inannis to claim a 51AA legacy. My guess is the game is broken. I'll have to kill the clerk to get it.

    All good thanks mate, killed the clerk and got it. Now I have a new problem with the game crashing after Ravel.
